  • affiliate links - this was the first set of folks who really showed up in force on the system, people who were both advertisers and publishers, looking to drive traffic and have traffic driven to them.
  • application providers - people selling applications tend to target their audience much different than people who are looking to drive users to a mobile website.
  • branding initiatives - companies normally outside the mobile environment looking to target a specific demographic or style of usage through advertising on mobile sites
• system capabilities
  • region/operator targeting - we go down to the individual operator in some regions
  • handset targeting - we also allow folks to select a target audience based on the type of mobile they have
